I am thrilled to be applying for a position as trainee civil engineer at [Organization X] in [City, State]. Therefore, I want you to consider this application for the civil engineering position.
To shortly introduce myself, my name is [Name], and I recently graduated with a major degree in civil engineering from the [University] of [City]. As an undergraduate researcher, I gained experience in Mechanics of Structural Materials and Systems Engineering for a Third World project. I want to continue my career working on projects that directly improve the quality of life for communities in need. During my third year at [University], I switched into civil engineering after working on a project to build a hospital in Accra, Ghana commissioned by the African Development Bank.
