Dear Mr. Smith,
It is with great pleasure to be applying for the Executive Assistant position posted on [URL] at [Company X] in Seattle, WA. As someone with a strong background in providing assistance to high-level stakeholders, I am convinced about my ability to work on a one-to-one basis with both executives and clients. In this cover letter, I will elaborate on my motivation and qualifications to ensure the smooth-running of your department.
To shortly introduce myself, my name is [Katy Hughes] and I have two years of experience working as an executive assistant at [Company Y]. Since several months I moved to Seattle, and therefore seeking a new but similar interactive working environment. I read an interesting article in [Newspaper] about [Company X]ās ambition to expand the business into international territory. Iād be honored to provide assistance and tackle complex duties in these strategic matters. I am excited about the prospect to make travel arrangements and detailed travel itineraries.
In my previous role as an executive assistant at [Company Y], I provided executive level administrative support to one director, two vice presidents and nine staff members. My core duties included, but were not limited to, coordinating and arranging complex multi-destination travel arrangements, appointments and meetings. Through effective scheduling, I saved each top executive 9 hours per week, equating to $19,000 a week in current salaries. Last year, I used a clustering method to detect traffic congestion which slashed executive time loss by 30%. I received recognition for these results (see references).
I can dedicate 32 hours/week to [Company X] and my daily hours are negotiable. I am excited to further discuss my candidacy and how I can contribute to your daily operations. My resume is attached for your consideration. If you need additional information, you can contact me at [Phone number] or [Email address]. Thank you for reviewing my cover letter and resume.
Kind regards,
Katy Hughes
