Dear Mr. Baker,
I’m writing to you in reference to the recent job posting on [URL] for the open position as Housekeeper at [Hotel XYZ] in New York City. As a cleaning professional with three years of experience in hotel housekeeping, I am confident that my attention to detail and meticulous use of proper safety procedures can add value to your team.
To shortly introduce myself, my name is [Patricia Edwards] and I was pleased when reading the job description. I know that [Hotel XYZ] is recognized for their Hospitality of Excellence Program, and the prospect of earning a graduation certificate makes me feel excited. In addition, to work in such an iconic and vibrant hotel makes me want to apply.
As someone who cleaned over 5000 hotel rooms in the past three years, I am aware of the physical endurance involved. Fortunately, I have the physical strength to move heavy furniture and agility to bend, kneel and climb in order to clean hard-to-reach spots. In 2020, I managed to improve [Hotel ABC]’s guest reviews on cleanliness and hygiene by 35%. For these results and my “exceptional work ethics”, I was credited with Housekeeper of the Year (see references).
As of [04.04.2024], I am available for a 30-hour work week, and ability to work with a flexible schedule. I’d appreciate the opportunity to discuss my candidacy and day-to-day duties at [Hotel XYZ]. If you have any questions about my attached resume, please contact me at [000-0000-0000]. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Kind regards,
Patricia Edwards
