#1 Example Answer
“Let me gather my thoughts… In the first 2-3 years, I see myself becoming an established [Job title] at [Company XYZ]. I plan to immerse myself in learning the ins and outs of the business, understand areas that require improvement and seek for opportunities to make the [Department team] work as efficiently as possible. For the remaining years, I see myself as being an all-round marketing specialist and liaison to extended departments including communication, sales and operations.”
#2 Example Answer
“In 5 years’ time from now, I see myself growing into a managerial role and demonstrating my leadership capabilities. I’d be willing to take on more responsibility within the organization, if you see me as fit of course. However, I do know that it’s very difficult to predict the future. I mean, if you’d ask me this question almost 10 years ago when I was working at [Company XYZ] as a [Job title], I’d tell you that I wanted to be a [Job title] at one of the big 4 consulting firms. That’s why I find it difficult to predict where I’ll be in 5 years’ time, but I can guarantee you one thing, I will do my utmost in this role to pursue a wonderful career at [Company ABC] with your team.”
